Happy Halloween from the Tower Avengers!
*facepalms* I cooked up another Stucky fic-non-fic/prompt/notes for fic I'll never write
So.
First things first: I'm a glutton for punishment kind of reader,so I love my TREMENDOUSLY HAPPY ending to be on the wake of lots of angst and misunderstandings.
I've been toying before with the idea of a "bonded but Steve didn't realise" or "confession gone south" kinda fic, (I'd post hundreds if I had the time) but this morning I found me a recipe I truly like, which features lots of Peggy, and of Peggy&Bucky bromance to end the ages.
Please follow me under the cut for details...
Favorite Captain America ship?
SINCE YALL MESSED UP THE LEAST FAV WERE DOING THE FAV
Steve/Bucky (my personal fav)

grape, papaya
grape: if you could take a vacation anywhere in the world, where would you go?
BB: I love the American southwest. We did finally get to go to the Grand Canyon last year, and I would go back in a heartbeat. Though please note I prefer exploring the actual canyon over standing on any cliffside >.>
PC: Steve and I were told to try Thai food when we were in DC. We loved it, and since then I’ve thought it might be nice to go try the real thing. Immediately after SHIELD fell, when we were worried that we’d have to flee with Bucky, we discussed Thailand as a possible place to hide. Thankfully we did not have to go on the run, but it put the idea even more firmly in my head that we should go.
SR: Venice, definitely, which is someplace we missed during the war :\ They say that because of how the light reflects off the water, the colors there are really spectacular, and it’s why Venetian artists are so renowned for their use of color. If I could spend a couple weeks in Venice studying color and light, that’d be amazing.
papaya: what song describes your aesthetic?
Mod: This seemed like a question that would sound better being answered by me! :)
For Bucky, the U2 cover of “Unchained Melody”. Firstly, the lyrics are perfect for his relationship to Steve and Peggy. And yes they’re sappy, but consider this: Bucky is sappy. (Fandom’s insistence on portraying him as unaffectionate is extremely grating to me. Remember that it’s BUCKY dropping lines like “I’m with you to the end of the line” and “I’m following him”) Furthermore, the instrumentation the band chose is for the most part very ethereal and dreamlike, but it’s in low tones which makes it edgier, and when the percussion comes in it’s almost martial-sounding…a good sonic representation of his time as a soldier.
For Steve, “My Shot” from Hamilton: An American Musical. The lyrics obviously aren’t an exact match since it’s about other characters and the Revolutionary War, but a lot of them do fit Steve (“I’m young, scrappy, and hungry and I’m not throwing away my shot”, “I imagine death so much it feels more like a memory […] I never thought I’d live past twenty” come to mind immediately). The frantic pacing reflects his approach to life, and the clever wordplay reflects how smart and quick on his feet he is.
And for Peggy, “Welcome to England” by Tori Amos. The song is about a woman moving in a man’s world, and part of it is sung in the POV of a man who is mocking the singer’s femininity and at the same time demanding it from her. The singer has to push through her frustration and navigate a hostile environment without sacrificing her heart or minimizing her presence, which I think rather describes how Peggy dealt with her days in the SSR. Also, she’s English :)
