since you mentioned being excited for writing chuck, i was remembering that orange still lives with him. all that tension and negativity from the belt probably stays with orange even when he goes home, but it probably feels even worse since one of his friends who he thinks is holding him back lives with him. he's constantly around him, maybe even doing things that provide "evidence" that he's better off without him and getting into fights with him more than the others. i don't think chuck would kick him out. i think he would leave to go stay with trent as orange is still his friend and he needs a roof over his head, but he just doesn't like this version of his friend. sorry i'm having feelings today.
WELL if this wasnt going to be a plot point before it sure is gonna be now OOF (this is why i need an outline and stuff theres so much happening within this concept now i cant keep up lol)
god yeah chuck would be like. seeing it firsthand and up close outside the ring and it would be tearing him apart - cause while that is one of his best friends, he doesnt know if he can deal with all this. and hes the kind of a friend that would absolutely just be like "okay you need space, so im gonna ive you space" and just upright leave instead of making oc leave with nowhere to go. cause chuck still cares. he cares so much
while oc is just. picking fights about everything, even the most mundane stupid things he never cared about before. stuff that chuck would remind him to do (take laundry out of the washing machine, fill the dishwasher, turn of the lights, all regular household things you tell someone when youre roommates) he would get angry at him for not doing or telling him to do. every little thing chuck would do would be wrong. the way he folds towels. the way he cooks. how he leaves couch pillows unfluffed. things that dont matter, but somehow suddenly they matter to oc cause he is just like this now
..fellas youre gonna get chuck angst and youre gonna LIKE IT
