12.18.17 John Zorn’s new music venue The Stone is relocating to the New School in 2018, and closed out 2017 with STONEFEST!, a the three-day concert series at the Tishman Auditorium. Jack Quartet, Bill Frisell and the Kris Davis Trio played terrific sets, and the evening was capped with a performance of Zorn’s game piece Cobra, featuring Ches Smith, vibes, Ikue Mori, electronics, Eyal Maoz, guitar, Craig Taborn, piano, Taylor Levine, guitar, Kenny Grohowski, drums, Simon Hanes, bass, Matt Hollenberg, guitar, Brian Marsella, keyboards, Tim Keiper, drums, Jay Campbell, cello, Michael Nicolas, cello with John Zorn prompting and leading the shenanigans.

Este grupo dio muchísimo juego para fotografiar en la edición de este año del Stonefest. La mayoría están tiradas con una canon 70d y otras (como por ejemplo la primera) con una Fuji X100S, Una compacta que desde luego poco tiene que envidiar a muchas reflex vistos los resultados, de momento ya esta siendo la mejor compra del año, 

Stonefest 2016 just closed its lineup and it looks outstanding! With eleven bands, two days and free entry, it counts with Black Moth, The Black Wizards, KILLIMANJARO, Pyramidal, Sombra (with Acid Mess elements),Karma to Burn, Bombus, Steak, The Wizards and Hammercross! Seems like we have a trip to do towards Piedras Blancas, Asturias, on the 1st and 2nd of July.
