i just love the shape of soup so much????? your writing is the perfect amount of sassy, funny, and plot pacing with a dash of— is that yearning??? why yes yes it is!!! i know i already commented and will probably continue to do so but i had to come here and leave extra kudos and compliments to the chef. its been such a joy to read and such a comfort. it hooked me from the beginning and was like “you need me” and i was like “you know what? yes i really do”. thanks for being so talented!!!!!!
thank you so much, that is so kind!! you know, as much as i enjoy one shots—they tend to be fun little quick flash-in-the-pan fics that go up on ao3 before i have time to overthink or over-edit to the point that i never want to look at them again—your sweet comment perfectly illustrates why the multichaps will always occupy a different part of my heart. seeing people commenting along the way as they’re discovering the story at the same time as the characters are is SO lovely, and being able to create a comforting thing & being allowed to inhabit that space with you for a while is a privilege and a total joy. i hope you’ll like the way i’m wrapping it up—the definitive draft for the final chapter currently stands at 13k (which is almost three times as long as originally intended) and i’m only about two thirds done. will it end up being 8/8 instead of 7/7? WHO CAN SAY
