i started to expect this the more time went on, but it doesn't change the fact that i'm disappointed

STATIES (not ordered to series)

Eliza Cortez, a hard-charging NYPD detective is banished to the boonies after a high-profile mistake and is paired with a new partner, Oregon State Trooper Sam King. Sam’s investigative techniques don’t exactly follow protocol, as evidenced by his talking to trees for clues and his obsession with flying kites. Eliza is a fish-out-of-water in this police procedural set in an eccentric town of quirky characters in coastal Oregon.

Cast (thus far)

Annie Ilonzeh (Person of Interest) as Eliza Cortez. The daughter of a criminal, Eliza has got a chip on her shoulder and a lot to prove. Initially with the NYPD in Brooklyn, she’s bounced off the force after a one-woman assault on a meth lab leaves a city block in rubble. After getting a job with the Oregon State Police Force — the only squad that would hire her — Eliza is obliged to adjust to an infinitely more easygoing and eccentric team of co-workers.  (Feb 20)

Andy Karl (Law & Order: SVU) as Oregon State Trooper Sam King, whose investigative techniques don’t exactly follow protocol. King is an experienced, but quite eccentric, trooper with a tragic past. (Feb 14)

David Zayas (Dexter) as Sgt. Machado, the head of Eliza’s new Oregon State Police unit. (Feb 20)

Alexander Sokovikov (House of Cards) as Senior Trooper Yuri Kinbote, a gruff Russian trooper who’s skeptical of the new statie in town. (Feb 28)

Justin Johnson Cortez (Turbulence) as Richard Spruce, the cop in charge of a robbery at the River Run Tribal Gaming Casino. (Mar 7)

Jennifer Aspen (Sharp Objects) as Scottie, the administrative support for the State Police unit. A fast talker and a huge gossip, she has a mischievous smile and knows more than she lets on. She regularly interacts with Eliza and Sam and appears to be one of those veteran bureaucrats with an infinite storehouse of local trivia. (Feb 26)

Ava Capri (Write When You Get Work) as Felicity, Sam’s teenage daughter who works at the front desk of the Oregon State Police station. (Mar 2)
