Studying for my stagehand journeyman test for my local and I’ve learned:
1) Stargate SG-1 still works as my study background
2) Being a visual learner and not being able to draw sucks.
3) Tracing is god tier and idk why I’ve never done it before…
the next time you weenies pay $500/ticket for nosebleeds at a LiveNation/TicketMaster stadium, please know that the people putting together that show, like literally building the stage and covering the grass with plastic flooring and connecting all the powercords on the lights and video and hanging all the steel pipes and such
are barely making enough to survive, and they're working 6-8 hour shifts that leave them hobbling around because the tools they're given for their jobs are insufficient and so is the pay so they have to take more shifts than are physically sustainable to survive
I just saw one of my favorite songs ever performed live after helping build the stage it was performed on. I love my job so much, I'm going to remember this for the rest of my life.
