The iconic Volkswagen Type 2 camper was made in 1967, but is valued at a whopping £90,000 because it has been fully restored, with a new engine, gearbox and set of wheels.

Today I fell in love - I fell in love with a dream and an idea. While this dream may be too far fetched to ever come into being, the thought of not at least testing it feels so wrong that I cannot ignore it.
This lovely old pile of rust belongs to a long time family friend and was what she and her parents travelled around in during the early 70′s. It was their home while they built their house on the property where this bus now resides, and was my friend’s secret hidey hole.
Now, the ravages of time have taken their toll, but ... just but. What if it isn’t too far gone? What if there is enough spirit and life left in the bones of this gorgeous beast to bring her back?
