To be honest I think both actresses would pass off as sisters. Hellewise and Maya were sisters who co-lead their tribe during stone age era. Hellewise is the ancestress of the Harman family and her descendant Thea is believed to look a deal like her and all witches look up to Hellewise . While Maya is the ancestress of the Red fern family ( lamia -born vampires) and Blaise represents the persona of Maya even though the former is descended from Hellewise. In attempt to stop Maya from turning more of pipo of their tribe into vampires, Hellewise challenged her to a combat dual - one-on-one. Maya retained her witches powers after becoming the first vampire of the world but was defeated by her sister and was driven out of the tribe along with her son(who continued the lamia bloodline of Maya) by Hellewise , but unfortunately Hellewise died of her wounds
