I'm going to be moving to the UK within the next 3-5 years. I currently live in the US. I'm really anxious about getting proper treatment for adult ADHD in the UK. From what I've read, doctors don't' take it very seriously, at least not compared to doctors in the US. Does anyone have any experience or information on adult ADHD treatment in the UK? I'd really appreciate it.
UK followers, you’re up! :)

Does anyone else get really angry when people around them (family and friends especially) are sick? My baby brother is ill and I keep lashing out at everyone and yelling and I just feel so angry. I think it's from anxiety. Idk I've always reacted that way though since I've had this phobia (since I was 3).
I do feel angry at the person who is sick even though I know it’s irrational and not their fault. I think it’s a natural human thing to want to put blame on people. also when your emotions and anxiety and everything are high, it is so much easier to be set off. it’s just a really sensitive situation.
for me it can also cause a lot of guilt... for example, my sister really does not understand my emet. one time she was sick and of course it affected me. she took major offense and got upset because she thought I was just blaming her. of course in my mind I wanted to blame her but most of the blame usually ends up back on myself because I obviously do not want to be this way. it’s almost impossible to make non-emet people understand
I asked this before, I don't think it was answered... So when I don't take medication (adderall) I have lots of hyperactive symptoms, such as fidgeting, talking rapidly, etc. These things don't bother ME, but they annoy the people close to me. My question is... Will people ever be tolerant of these behaviours? What bothers me most is that some of the people who get annoyed by my hyperactivity are people who are ANTI-MEDICATION. Wtf???
Yup, we answered your original question. It’s here. :)

My ADHD behaviours (talking loudly/rapidly, interrupting, being "intense," etc.) bother my close family. They sometimes suggest that I am not taking the proper dose of medication and should, perhaps, increase the dose. I find this somewhat hurtful, as I'm trying my best. I have a history of drug addiction and therefore don't feel comfortable taking a higher dose of Adderall. I guess my point is... These behaviours don't bother ME, but my family gets annoyed. What can I do?
It can be difficult to balance what you need with what other people need. I think your desire to keep your dose down, given your history of drug addiction, is a responsible one and your family should respect that.
What you might want to do is look into ADHD coaching as that could help you learn other ways to manage your behaviour a little better, at least around your family. While your behaviour isn’t a problem for you specifically, it could become a problem in the future and it is a problem for your family, so finding ways to control your behaviour now is probably a good idea.

I'm watching the show "Autopsy" and at the beginning of the show they have a warning "this programme contains graphic scenes of substance abuse, *v, etc..." I wish every programme would do this!
I'm currently watching seasons four and five of Workaholics. S04E02 has a graphic v* scene. At around 17 minutes in, Adam and Anders fight each other in an empty pool. I'd recommend just skipping that scene, it goes on for about a minute. I'll report on any other v* scenes I come across.
Girls Season 3 - Episode 10. Just skip the intro, skip ahead to where it says "GIRLS" (3 minutes 20 seconds). There is drinking and v*,
thank you!
