Original Spawn Gets First Ever Comic Book
Todd McFarlane is bringing his original vision for Spawn, created while McFarlane was still in high school, to comics for the first time ever. Spawn 77 is a three issue limited series from co-writers McFarlane and Mark Spears with artwork also by Spears.
Spawn 77 #1 (of 3) goes on sale in September 2026. Cover A is by Mark Spears, Cover B is by Spears and Todd McFarlane, Cover C is an original 1977 update variant by McFarlane, Cover D is by Emma Ríos, Cover E is a blank sketch cover, Cover F is a 1:25 incentive retro logo variant by McFarlane, Cover G is a 1:50 copy inventive variant by McFarlane, Cover H is a 1:100 copy incentive original 1977 variant by McFarlane, Cover I is a 1:250 copy incentive foil variant by McFarlane with McFarlane's signature, and Cover J is a 1:500 copy incentive foil variant by Spears and McFarlane with their signatures.
