i feel crazy asking this BUT: i know a ton of you fellow freaks also have sleep disorders of various kinds, as do i, and something that happens to me in winter months is that no matter how well rested or correctly medicated i am, if i point my radiant space heater at myself i will get sleepy and often start nodding off. I know what you're thinking, "warm and cozy=sleepy you fuckin dingus" and also "please check your carbon monoxide alarms" and you're completely correct to point that out, but these are just regular safe indoor electric radiant element heaters with no gas involved, and I've controlled for the type of heat by experimenting with just wrapping up nice n warm with blankets or sweaters or coats, and also sitting or lying on/with heating pads. i ONLY start feeling like DRUGGED sleepy with THIS kind of heater:
i have one of these and also a top-down dish heater and both of them knock me the fuck out. they have no substances on the heating elements that could be evaporating into soporific gasses as far as i know? the copper pipe heating in my house doesn't do it and neither have radiators or forced air heat. only lizard mode heat beam does it. does anyone have any idea what I'm talking about. has this ever happened to anyone else. it could definitely just be a weird placebo of course. but I'm cold and want to stay awake!

Space heater??
I’m looking for a space heater for my apartment, but like. just to warm one room.
I’d prefer one that turns off automatically so I don’t get too hot. I want to use it while I sleep. It’s cool if it doesn’t though.
It has to be ceramic, because other ones could hurt my bird due to chemicals.
