I don’t think they’re just a situationship. I think they genuinely have a bond, especially from Klaus’ side. Because Klaus has so many lines directed at Stefan that feel really intimate. Not intimate in the literal sense, but emotionally. They reveal that he feels a certain way about Stefan.

The way they talk to each other is often flirtatious, and honestly, it goes both ways. Even the way they look at each other... there’s something there.

Klaus calls Stefan his “brother,” but come on, we all know those looks say much more than that.

Klaus also has this constant “I did this for you” mentality.

He tries to make Stefan see things from his perspective.

That’s what makes Klaus the most interesting when he’s with Stefan. He has this strange obsession with him. Klaus has had countless relationships and interactions with other characters, yet he’s never quite like this with anyone else. Stefan clearly fascinated him and genuinely charmed him.

Stefan, on the other hand, doesn’t lean into it as much, but he can be just as flirtatious in his own subtle way.
