It’s a coin toss
If (Moonshadow) souls are turquoise
and the Wonderwall can free them from their unnatural prisons...
Hmmmm, are the odds on this really fifty/fifty? Maybe we should check.

Heart and soul
So these soulfangs from the end if S3E5 are in love, I guess, with their cute little heart over their heads. But who’s in love here? The snakes, or the souls they took?
This feels like some kind of clue. A soulfang took Runaan’s mount’s soul, and its husk is still free in the desert somewhere. What else is out there? Or is this a callback to the two-headed soulfang that Viren has in a basket which disappeared and has never been seen again?
I don’t think we’re done with soulfangs yet.
Seeing joelsweet's claudia doll post has sparked this... tdp has great character design. I'm not surprise if the tdp team is deliberate with designing characters and peppering them with hidden meaning and symbolism i.e. characters with purple means they practice dark magic (viren's gem thing/caludia's dyed hair). Anyway, the two headed soul fang serpent is associated with viren while Claudia wears two snake bracelets. Idk why two snakes mean something and not one? good and evil duality perhaps?
I bet there’s plenty of symbolism everywhere, or at least patterns. And as for two snakes, well, there’s this:
The caduceus, not to be confused with the healing Rod of Asclepius (just one snake) represents Mercury, and is associated with death and resurrection as well as commerce and negotiation.
Seems pretty dark magic if you ask me!
But that two-headed Soulfang is actually a combination of the caduceus and the Rod of Asclepius, with one tail and two heads, so that’s pretty interesting. Death, resurrection, and the healing arts.
Is there anything healing at all about those Soulfang serpents? They seem to eat souls, but they leave the bodies intact. What even does that mean? It seems horrific. Maybe there’s more to that story, which we’ll learn the next time someone braves the Midnight Desert again.
After the soulfang bites the moonstrider...
The displayed subtitles have Rayla saying: “We’ve got to get back inside, before---”
But I heard: “We’ve got to get back inside, before her---”
Before her what, I wonder? Before the last bit of her soul bleeds out? I seem to remember that the husks are hostile.
It's interesting, anyway. More indirect support for Bird!Harrow, I suppose. Though I would think that Moonshadow elves could see color (or the lack thereof) in low light...
