I never thought that I would be one to develop stretch marks on my body until recently. As someone who is considered quite slender, I was a bit surprised to see them on the least likely area (my decolletage) I expected to have them on considering my frame. β£ β£ Iβm a 34-36B cup and found it increasingly weird seeing these tiny little dimples imprinted on my breast tissue. Itβs weird, yet beautiful in a way because an increasing amount of women in the media have been made to feel ashamed of having stretch marks exposed as if thereβs something is wrong with them. Itβs honestly very sad that women are made to feel like this is not a normal part of life. That itβs not normal for a womanβs body to go through hormonal changes. I see it quite frequently in media or on social media. β£ β£ Itβs still quite evident when you flick through the latest showbiz news or Instagram and most of what you see is people telling women to put it away because itβs offending a certain somebodyβs precious eyes. These are the very people who are only brave enough to say it behind a keyboard but would never dare say this to your face. Itβs sad that a woman like myself is encouraged to resort to minimising them in an effort to look and feel like normal person . But, why should we?. Why should people apologise for not being perfect?. Itβs absolute insanity and anyone else who thinks that being perfect is normal should effin go do one.
