I hate it when people spell Jonathan Byers name as "Johnathan"

Thank you! I'm so glad you agree. Oh I know exactly how you feel. People think I'm weird too for loving Jonathan/J being my fav character and I agree I think he is the most interesting one and hes so special and underappreciated by both the characters and especially the fans.

People also think I'm weird for shipping him with these people too. I get told off constantly or someone always got this negative comment to say basically like 'ugh why do you ship THAT' and of course its always a different reason for why each ship I ship is just wrong in some way to them, but its like sorry I can't change what I enjoy and wouldn't even if I could just because the fans don't like it.

And I don't see things the way a lot of other ST fans see them I guess... they loathe Jonathan, I love him and think he is so adorable and think he is the most vital/useful/special character on the show and the people I ship him with-they had so much potential with him that was never explored on the show that I want to see explored. And each Jonathan ship just has so much depth to it or so much potential. It's like a gold mine of content that not a lot of ST fans appreciate.

If you two leave who is going to give me half naked pictures of Jonathan? or non stop Jargyle content? Jonathan gif gifts? And analyze Jonathan so we can all understand him and why hes so special? And have endless debates about which Jonathan ship is better? And point out all the great things about each of the Jonathan ships? And give me content for rare ships that don't exist anywhere else? And give me a what if AU story about Samantha and Jonathan getting together at that halloween party and theorize what their relatonship would have been like and tell me about their inevitable wedding? Who will send me Stonathan smut where Steve is the dominant and really over protective of Jonathan? Who will talk to me about Stonathan vs Jancy in S5? Who will give me snippets of Byergrove vs Stonathan headcanon? Who will send me details on Jommy and how Tommy only realized he had a thing for Jonathan when he found out Steve and Jonathan were dating? Or send me links to Jargen content? Who is going to give me Stoncy headcanons about Steve and Nancy saving Jonathan from Vecna and Lonnie in S5? There is so much more I could list.... but you two need to come back or I'm going to starve!!

So I ship Jonathan with: Steve, Nancy, Steve AND Nancy, Samantha, Billy, Tommy, Argyle, Eddie. There are more people/other ships to include, but these are the main ones I ship and the extended list will come later.

BTW the people Jonathan is paired with are ALL the dominants/tops. He is always the sub/bottom in the relationship, but he is also a sassy smart mouth moral compass one so while they might be in charge in the bedroom... he is charge when they're out of the bedroom [At least when it comes to Steve/Tommy/Billy- I'm specifying this for the people that claim these are 'abusive relationships' and forget that S1/S2 Jonathan Byers existed, doesn't take bs from people especially like them, and can change people for the better just by talking.

Jonathan x Argyle Jonathan x Samantha Argyle x Eden Jonathan x Eden? Samantha x Eden?

I could see Jonathan x Eden and Samantha x Eden but haven't really thought much of it. But the most important part is: Argyle and Samantha are definitely sharing Jonathan.

As much as I love Stoncy [It is my fav ST ship after all], Argyle and Samantha are like the opposite of Steve and Nancy-Argyle and Samantha are like Steve and Nancy's.... wholesome shadow selves. I don't know how to put it. The point is Argyle and Samantha, unlike Steve and Nancy, automatically loved Jonathan from the beginning. There was no slow burn/no drama/no build up/no having to change into better people before hand to be worthy of jonathan's love praise and devotion. They just automatically were attracted to Jonathan and loved him for everything he was.

Steve and Nancy loved Jonathan once they realized he was a hero/and he saved them in more ways than one/and they saw all the good stuff about him-anyone can love a hero-but Argyle and Samantha just loved him for everything he was right from the beginning before they found out he fought with creatures from another dimension/Hawkins lab to save the world and most importantly his baby brother.

Of course I love Stoncy and the slow burn and Jonathan changing them for the better and them overcoming their flaws and seeing how love can change a person and that Jonathan earned that love from them by just being himself-that a great dynamic/story and build up. I love that dynamic, but Jargyle/Jargen + Sonathan is just as great of a dynamic and never gets the admiration it deserves for just being about two people [Argyle and Samantha] just loving Jonathan for everything he was right from the beginning.

Sometimes its just nice to get a break from all the angst/slow burn ext frustrating stuff that comes with Stoncy and skip ahead to the good part where two people are just appreciating Jonathan for who he is and showing him love and appreciation that he has been denied all his life. I love how loved Argyle and Samantha make him feel. Jonathan has been hated/walked all over/ treated like dirt/second choice/last choice for most of his life by everyone so its really amazing to see when two people just love him right from the start and automatically accept him for everything he is and show him nothing but love and understanding and give him the hugs he so desperately needs.
