I have absolutely no idea where this idea came to me, but it's something short and simple. So, enjoy some Furina!MC/Neuvillette fluff along with one sleepy baby noodle.
...It was a quiet night within the Court of Fontaine.
The streets were empty, businesses closed, homes dark as their residents slept.
It was the same at the Palais Mermonia. Or well, it should've been the same unless you count a certain Hydro Dragon Sovereign...
Neuvillette glares down at the paperwork before him. Somehow, even after working on it since early this morning it had not shrunken down one bit! In fact, the pile looked to have gotten bigger!
A pen taps on the paper rapidly before Neuvillette sighs and pushes away from his desk. He'll finish this mess in the morning...
Exiting his office, he locks the door behind him before making his way deeper into the Palais, climbing stairs, going down this hallway and that, before stopping at a door and unlocking it.
"...I'm home."
No one answers Neuvillette back, which is to be expected. It was late after all, so his girls should be asleep by now... ah, there they were.
Neuvillette pokes his head into the bedroom and smiles when he sees wife sound asleep in bed. Their little daughter, who was in her baby noodle form, was also sound asleep, curled up into the tiniest of balls on Furina!MC's chest as little whistling snores left her mouth...
It never ceases to amaze him about how lucky he was... he had an amazing wife, an amazing mate, and they had most precious hatchling together...
"...You going to stand there all night, Neuvi?"
Oh dear, looks like his wife woke up because she was giving him a sleepy but knowing look from the bed as she gently pets the still sleeping Noodle Seraphina on her chest.
"Get your scaly butt into this bed, mister."

would you believe me if i told you there's a plot where Mr. Sparkles pays to have himself mutated with algae DNA which means he can mind-control these knock-off fungi-Pokémon pets called Mayoi? because it's true and kind of epic!! 💚
I realised I forgot to post this. This is the first "Wtf am I reading" meme I did out of Hiro's reaction to seeing Granville dote on a Mayoi.

Okay, fine, I'll admit these guys are a LITTLE cute. Like 0.00001% cute. Despite being unnatural creatures, consists of fungi, and made with malicious intentions.
(Totally did not make this post as "clickbait".)
Egon: A guardian angel is a friend who follows you around and makes sure you don't get into trouble and loves you with all they are.
Baby Phoebe: Oh, so like you.
Egon: *Tearing up and giving her a shaky smile.* Heh, maybe.
I thoroughly enjoyed Season 2, but I still feel that one of the worst missed opportunities was regarding the nanoreceptors.
In “Muira-Horror”, the team gets one of the patches that caused Ludd to turn into a monster. It looks remarkably like one of Karmi’s nanoreceptors from “Big Problem”. You would think that the team would actually do something with said information. Maybe do a deep dive into the mechanics of it? Instead, we cut to the next episode, “Something Fluffy”, where they proceed to...lament that they have no proof that Liv is behind the monsters.
Umm...yeah. You do. You literally found it in the last episode.
Hiro does confront Liv at the interview with Bluff, so I guess you could make the case where that was their investigation, but the team’s lamenting is really bothersome.
And I haven’t even gotten into the whole Karmi angle yet? Why do you think I made a whole fuss about it in Continuity?
Go to her. Talk to her. Even if she doesn’t believe you (which she won’t), it sets up the rest of that arc where she slowly starts to think that indeed something is rotten in the state of Denmark.
Er.
California.
Instead, it takes her getting turned into a monster for her to finally see the light.
Talk about a “What if...?” moment. What if...Hiro had actually used his brain for two seconds when it came to Karmi?
