The reaction towards Chappel Roan refusing to endorse Kamala really shows the main flaw in the "vote blue no matter who" movement. While it is understandable to want to keep Republicans from taking control because of how shitty their political views are, if you refuse to critique and demand better from Democrats and get angry when someone dares to question or criticize a Democratic candidate, you're really no better than those MAGA Republicans who get mad whenever someone criticizes Trump. You know the people liberals often criticize for being "brainwashed" and "deplorable"? Like I'm voting for Kamala because I don't want Trump to be president and people in Gaza have called Americans to vote for Harris because she at least pretends like she cares about Gaza, but I'm still gonna criticize her. I'm still gonna hold her accountable for what she does and doesn't do. The blind worship of democratic candidates and refusal to criticize or fight for more led to Obama's milquetoast administration where he did not nearly do enough or a lot of what he said he'd do (he didn't close Guantanamo Bay and was very trigger happy with drone strikes). It's fine to want a democrat in office but you should turn your brain off or just act like politics is solved forever. Democrats can be just as shady as Republicans just with a #BLM and rainbow flag coat of paint. Kamala is complicit in genocide. There's no other way of putting it. US Presidents are war criminals. If you don't demand more from your leaders, then why bother having a democracy?
