What straight faced Winters is thinking while interacting with 'our beloved' Sobel.
他就是看不懂地图.
Móc jeszcze raz, poczuć, że jesteś tu dla mnie
Ten jeden raz, upewnić się, że jesteś tu dla mnie
Sobel
odwiedź mnie, gdy leżę sam na dole
I've noticed that Ranney and Harris were busted on Oct 19 and transferred on Oct 27. The court martial documents are dated Oct 30. Meaning that the mutiny happened before the court martial. I'm putting my tin hat on and theorising that Winters tried to cover up his involvement in the mutiny for PR reasons, and that Sobel's attempt to court martial him wasn't actually spurious, but because Strayer or Sink wouldn't hear that Winters had been involved. Three of the sergeants (William Evans, Elmer Murray, and Murray Roberts) weren't involved, and even Winters said he thought Sobel must have heard about the meeting from them. The meeting which Winters attended and said he told them not to do it, while apparently at Battalion, where he didn't even get transferred until Nov 29. Now we know that Strayer was so unhelpful when Sobel's car got stolen, and when he was drugged and assaulted, that an endorsement came all the way from the Pentagon, it just seems to fit better. It seems more likely to me, but I'd like to know your opinion on my theory
Malarkey putt in his book that he was certain Dick had something to do with it. Horton did say they went through the rulebook to find a way around the court martial charge and Strayer never did much of anything where Sobel was concerned (the car, the appendix, everything including this. Credit to Sobel for sticking it out in this hostile work environment and getting it from all sides.) Which also brings in the element later where Strayer tells Horton to ask for a court martial when someone else gets a Battalion over him. Guess that reading up on court martial rules paid off.
And Colonel Sink....Bob...I know why you drank.
Yes, the dates just don't add up for me either. Forgive my late reply, I got to gather the evidence so we can have it here. Company Morning Reports and Dick's story which includes him stating his latrine duty spurred the mutiny....but the guys were already gone by Oct 27? And I'm not saying the mutiny didn't happen, but the dates on this mess drag out for months.
Company Morning Report Timeline: (Reports included below)
Oct 16- Harris, Ranney and Petty busted to Pvt.
Oct 27- Harris and Ranney transferred
Oct 30 - Winters and latine duty
Nov 29- Winters to special Duty Battalion HQ
Dec 8- Sobel transferred to Regiment; Meehan from 3rd Batt HQ to E
Dec 11- Winters from Special Duty at Battalion back to E.
Below is also Dick's timeline with the latrine duty, court martials back and forth, Pvt Melo is caught up in the middle of this.
