Snow White x Gaston: "Oh my goodness, where do I start with these two? Iβve been deep in the Gaston x Snow White trenches for years, but reading TrudiRoseβs fanfic called "The Fairest of Them All, Whoβs as Beautiful as Me" just convinced me that they would be soulmates in another universe. The way the fic handles Gastonβs character, his redemption arc, and his relationship/dynamic with Snow White is written so well!
Gastonβs approach to genuine love, as I see it, is both fascinating and deeply complex. Heβs never felt anything beyond self-interest and surface-level attraction. But when Snow White came into the picture, he was initially drawn to her beauty, but she challenged him in subtle ways he didnβt expect. She made him feel like he was letting her down, which pushed him to start paying attention to how he behaved around her, like minding his temper and being more considerate and thoughtful. But most importantly, he genuinely wanted to earn her love and win her heart. He just wants to be worthy of her.
She made him see things differently and see himself differently. Snow White is his first serious and emotional relationship. And he threw his entire being into falling in love, being loved in return. If you think about it, they're kind of like Beauty and the Beast."
