The Madness Plague

In 1988, a sickness called the Madness Plague spread throughout Wonderland. Not everyone was effected, but those who did suffered greatly in multiple different ways.

Before being effected, Queen Bridget ruled beside her sister with great unity; they cared for each other, but after Bridget got sick, she turned cold and bitter (but not all the time). She began to rule over her side of Wonderland with an iron fist, vowing "Off With Your Head!" to anyone who opposed her, even going as far as to turn some of her former friends into creatures for trying to go against her rule...

What do I mean by that? Turning Winston into an actual white rabbit, cursing the entire Cheshire line into becoming disappearing cats, and turning her dear friend Absolem into an always high, smoking caterpillar who couldn't speak against her in the way he wished...

Tarrant was effected as well, but not like Bridget was. His mind tossed and turned upside-down, mushing thoughts and memories together and causing people to begin to refer to him as the "Mad Hatter of Wonderland"

Under Bridget's rule, her section of Wonderland turned into a dark, depressing land to live in. Her section of the Tulgey Wood turned dark, a stark comparison to her sister's domain, which remained light and free of fear and sadness. Her husband, Rory, tried his best to keep her happy, but it was nearly impossible as he mood would flip unpredictably...

She's constantly causing chaos to anyone who enters the woods, becoming what some call the "Ghost of the Tulgey Wood" (although she never harms anyone, she just wants to have fun)

Tarrant "Hatter" Hightop; the Mad Hatter of Wonderland/Advisor to Queen Mirana (FC: Johnny Depp)

Even after being "cured" of the Madness Plague, Tarrant was never the same. Crazied and parinoid from events gone by, he agreed to the Hearts' banishment; however, over time like so many others, he's begun to regret the decision and misses his friends.

He married a very sweet woman named Magnolia who had helped with the "cure" for the Madness Plague

Background:

14 years ago, Queen Anna and King Kristoff Bjorgman of Arendelle were blessed with twins.

One bared Anna's features and the other bared Kristoff's.

They were named 'Princess Hilda Iduna Bjorgman of Arendelle' and 'Prince Haul Ryder Bjorgman of Arendelle'—and they were happily welcomed into the world by their family.

Six weeks after the twins were born, a mysterious woman dressed in a cloak appeared at their door with warnings of danger and a… rather confusing prophecy.

"The boy will take your throne", she'd said—growing irate when Kristoff informed her that's how heirs worked and then more insistent.

Kristoff ordered the guards to escort her out and after that, the new parents didn't pay the prophecy any mind.

Unfortunately, the other residents of Arendelle didn't take the prophecy with the same amount of ease and favored his twin sister much more than they did him—and some began to fear him.

Because of this, Haul grew up feeling isolated in his home kingdom and unbeknownst to his parents, he began to get bullied.

By the time Haul and Hilda transferred to Auradon Prep when they were 11, the stark difference between the twins was easily noticeable.

Hilda was loud, friendly, energetic, quirky, and outgoing—and quickly became a member of the popular crowd.

And Haul?

Well, Haul, while just as friendly and quirky as his sister, was quiet, skittish, insecure, and withdrawn. Much preferring the company of animals and plants to people, who he found intimidating.

This made him a prime target for bullying from some of the less savory students, which Haul just resigned himself to. Thinking he'd have to deal with it for the rest of his time at Auradon Prep, if not for the rest of his life.

And that's when Hannah Hook came bounding into his life, taking him in as one of her own. But that's a story for another time.

Background:

Once upon a time as a punishment for his crimes, Hades was deaged by his brothers—along with Persephone would had gotten in the way on accident.

The two of them were then sent to Merlin Academy, where Poseidon's youngest daughter Uliana was also attending.

The two of them immediately clicked with Uliana's gang—which consisted of Uliana Athansiou, Morgie Le Fay, Maleficent Faery, The Smee Brothers, and the Hook Brothers. Slowly, over time the two grew a little closer with Maleficent and became a throuple.

Eventually the group grew up and opened up their relationshop—and, after the War of Auradon and the timeline mashup, Hades and Maleficent were sent to the isle. After this, Persephone would spend six months of the year with her husband and wife on the isle and the other six months with her mother and older children ruling the Underworld.

But unfortunately, the long stretches without Persephone began to take their toll.

Eight years into the isle's creation, Princess Darcy Morrigan Athanasiou of Andalasia was born during a fling between Hades and (Former) Queen Narissa Drakon of Andalasia.

From the moment she was born, Darcy unnerved the isle—including her very own mother who quickly passed off most of the parenting to Hades when it became apparent that the little hellion didn't need as much sleep as Narissa did. Much to the former queen's annoyance and horror.

She knew things she shouldn't.

And she showed behavior the frightened even the most dangerous of the isle.

Everyone still remembers the day she sent the Mad Doctor running and screaming in terror.

Thankfully and luckily, for the rest of the isle, Darcy went on to Hannah Hook's lead like the majority of her siblings instead of ruling the isle with iron fist like Narissa claims she was meant to do.
