I’ve seen some salty reviews about the last chapter, especially about Mikasa’s character, and let me remind you of something:

Grief is something very very human. It’s a part of every day life. We live with grief and loss and that process is different for everyone.

You have to keep in mind that Mikasa had to kill the love of her life.

And that shit isn’t easy. It was probably the most difficult thing Mikasa had to do.

So don’t be surprised if Mikasa hasn’t moved on yet, because she is grieving, because that her innate response as a human.

Also keep in mind that these characters have not had time to process their grief. They were in the midst of war, and they couldn’t think about that kind of stuff. They had to keep moving in order to survive.

And in the broader political context of the manga, the scouts clearly has work to do to get to a place where they can live in peace, so I don’t blame Mikasa for wanting to abandon that to let herself grieve Erens death.

Man i was crying and this moment was so cringe. I mean yo Isayama what’s wrong with your humor or idea of love? I hope this was humor.

I spent the last days crying and looking at all the beautifully sad fanarts that were made after chapter 139, but I couldn’t find the strength to draw something myself.

Now that I’ve calmed down a little bit I keep getting “racing thoughts” (is that how they’re called?), tons of ideas all together... aaaaand I still can’t draw anything lmao- my brain hates me
