Guess what? We’re about a month away until the AOT ending turns five years old! While I am planning to write a breakdown on why it isn’t as great as I previously thought back then, I wanna quickly go over on three things I do still like about it:
-
1.) I’m half-and-half with Eren’s little breakdown here. For one, for the first time in forever does he behave like the old honest Eren he used to be. But in the other hand, does sound selfish for not wanting Mikasa to move on from him. Either way, it’s just personally satisfying to see him express emotions for a change.
2.) What’s also satisfying despite the context is seeing Historia with her daughter. Yes, the pregnancy did sideline her character and started some wars between certain fans, but you can’t deny that Historia being a more caring mother than her own ever was brings joy.
3.) I kinda like the idea of the surviving scouts and warriors becoming ambassadors in the end; still a bit skeptical on the latter being a part of it, but it had been three years so they probably had a lot of talking. I honestly can’t think of any other outcome for them while the world is still in little shambles, just live normal lives away from the conflict? Yeah right.
