Severus and Charity didn’t like actually know each other in school, So once Severus and Charity were both accepted as professors that’s when they got to know each other but it was a very VERY painfully awkward first few impressions and didn’t actually talk to each other until a good few months if not year in.

“So…you went to Hogwarts as well ?” “Yes.” “Me too.” “I assumed by you saying ‘as well.’ “ who says what is up to choice.

Severus and charity are at a meeting with the rest of the professors discussing the school year, Charity briefly mentions about wanting to hold classes outside more for fresh air and is allowed to. Severus just so happens to get fresh herbs from the green house at that same time and he didn’t sneak a look at her schedule at all absolutely not a stalker and still a weird kid nope.

Since charity is a muggles studies teacher, after hard lessons she shows the students fun muggles stuff like muggle crafts. She starts a painted rock snake and it follows the path Severus takes to go to the green house.

They are both on night watch duty and Severus casually makes a reference to a muggle thing which Charity COMPLETELY loses her shit with. “How do you know that?” “What do you mean? I watched it.” “You watched Dr.Who.” “Yes.” “On what?” “A television.” “How do you get technology working in this world?” “I don’t know.” “So you don’t live here?” “No.” “You live in the muggle world?” “Yes.” “Are you muggle born?” “Half, am I being graded, Professor?” The last part came out way more flirty than he meant to and is a bit embarrassed by it but Charity just grins wickedly. “You are, but you might need to do some extra credit to pass.”

They naturally became friends after that. Severus was still standoffish and didn’t accept many invitations from Charity, and he didn’t speak to her infront of everyone. Due to this Severus was sticking to his usual hiding spots, but of course the Hufflepuff manages to find him. Every. Single. Time. He’s not mad though, even though he pretends to be.

She learns more about Severus and wants something more. “You don’t know me.” “I’d love to know more.” “People say things about me.” “I’m sure they do.” “And if the results and allegations are true?” “They aren’t true.” “You don’t know that.” “I don’t need to see your arm to know that in my heart you’re a good man. If there is a mark on you I know it must be for a good reason.”

Super Secret relationship between the two starts. They live together but Severus still has the house in Spinners to make it look like nothing is going on. Charity realizes Severus struggles with a lot of things so she helps and comes up with routine with him, in return he helps her learn to step her foot down and learns to stop being a people pleaser. Hermione is the ONLY person that suspects they are dating but everyone calls her crazy into thinking 1. Charity would stoop that low 2. Severus would date a muggle born. 3. Charity has a wedding ring and Severus doesn’t.

Charity saw Severus’ clothes (the plural is being generous) and asked Severus if he would like to go shopping, he detests the idea of it so Charity resorts to just buying things she likes for herself and then in another color for Severus (since he’s so skinny he hardly even fits into men’s sizes). Severus is grateful for the softer fabric, it doesn’t irritate him as much. Charity picks out clothes for them to wear every day, if they arnt matching they are coordinated.

“Look how pretty this flower garden is that’s in the paper, such lovely little things.“ Charity comes back home after break to see Severus built a near exact copy of the garden layout she saw with the flowers planted because he’s bad at emotions. “But these flowers arnt really useful in potions.” “Correct.” “Why have them then?” “They made you smile.”

Severus can’t be over with Charity as much as war continues. It gets harder on both of them. They don’t see each other at all now other than in passing in hallways. Charity is the main target right now in installing fear to those who promote anything to do with Muggles. Voldemort orders Severus, since he works with her, to kill her and bring her body to him to desecrate.

Severus watched Charity’s body be devoured by Nagini the following meeting. He shows no emotion, his heart doesn’t even skip a beat, but when he returns to spinners he vomits violently and cries out in agony.

Days turn into weeks. Weeks turn into months. Severus ends up at the table in Blacks childhood home surrounded by people he hates but has to work with in order to make sure Voldemort doesn’t win the war. “We need to hide a bunch of muggle students, they have been targeted.” “Where on earth could we put over a thousand kids?” “In the muggle world.” “Oh right because a muggle orphanage won’t ask questions as to why a thousand children are now suddenly there. A orphanage is the first place they would look!” Severus hasn’t spoken the whole time. He is starting to sweat and the others catch on. “What? What do you know?” Black asks and Severus shakes his head and gulps water down. Remus begs and pleads with Severus that if he knows something he should say something. Severus sends a magical letter that once lit on fire shows up to another. Soon someone floos to them. Severus stands up as now a tall blond man enters. “Ello there, love.” He says and greats the room. “Snape, who is this..?” “The name is Charles! Nice to meet you.” “…right how do you know Snape?” “Well he’s my husband of course.” Severus slams his head so hard on the table. For a moment everyone forgot about the harsh reality of life and now DRILL Snape questions, only after Charles explains that he knows of many abandoned properties in the muggle world and can house thousands of people, so they can make sure the children are safe and even safer by transferring them from place to place every so often.

“Married.” “Yes.” “When?” “Does it matter?” “To Charles.” “Why does this matter?” “You’re married to a man?” “That’s what he said, isn’t it?” “You’re…gay?” “Bisexual actually.” “That I didn’t know.” Charles said with a smirk. “Why would it ever come up? I’ve only ever been with you. I don’t have a history.”

Mad eye is NOT fucking having it. He senses something is up and does not trust Charles at all. He has cornered him, drilled him questions, and even called him names to his face infront of the others. Severus barks back at him to quit it and that he only has an issue with Charles because Charles is with him. “Yes, you are not on our side so why should we think this one is? This could be Voldemort himself in disguise!” Moody yells at him, Severus grabs his arm and pain as he tries to calmly explain that he is crazy and tries to insist to Charles he should go home, Charles being protective of Severus declines and fights back a bit but in a joking way. Moody casts an Anti Glamour spell on Charles.

“I knew it.” Hermione says after a long silence. Instead of Charles in the chair holding Severus’ hand, it’s Charity. “You’re dead.” “I am?” She responds. “Did you resorect her bloody corpse?” “No, I gave a poly juice potion to a muggle who was dying.” “You’re married to Charity.” “Yes.” “You’re not wearing a ring.” “Not only was this supposed to be a hidden relationship due to risk of death of both of us and it making sense to hide it, but reminder I am a Potions Master. Like this cloak, the uniform is no Jewlery on hands. It’s not sanitary.” Severus explains pinching the bridge of his nose, debating on erasing all their memories. “Nah, moody is still right. Who on earth would marry Snape? This is another ploy.” Sirius chimes in. “Are you still mad I declined a date from you in third year? Or are you mad you’re still the only single one in your friend group?I don’t even think Pettigrew is single…is the field that bad? Or are you that bad even desperate women won’t be with you?” Severus snorts and quickly covers his face to pretend to cough even though he’s laughing.

hello, my fellow sniends and snovers! the time has come again to celebrate our favorite bat of the dungeons, whump edition! this year, ive decided on two (2) prompt lists! overall there will be 16 “lighthearted” spooky prompts and 15 angst prompts that will alternate every day throughout october. if you choose to only do one list, that’ll give you 2 days to work on your submission, or you can do all of them for a whole month of spooky snape love! 🖤

as always, prompts are open to interpretation. you don’t need to write angst and alternatively, you can make the lighthearted list as angsty as you want. i tried to come up with a list that allows both (with some help from @blog4snape's incredible brainstorming). you will also see a few recycled prompts from last year’s list that i was particularly partial to. 

entries for snapetober can be anything - art (in any style), writing (in any perspective, pairing, or length), photosets/edits, headcanon lists, plot bunnies you don’t actually want to write up, etc. etc. you can do as many or as little as you want, combine entries, post them late, and include whomever you want. just keep it snape-centric (and just like last year, the angst doesn’t need to be directed at severus at all!) and remember to tag it as #snapetober or #snapetober2021!

well i say i return but then i disappear due to writers block and creative burnout for almost a year 😐🧍🏼♀️ i would type out my authors note disappearing reasons, but i genuinely think i would be here all day BWHAHAHAH,,,,anyways this was a suggestion/request i saw on tumblr by  @wtfhasmy-lifecometo :  a severus snape x reader where the plot of the story is based off of the song “she’s always a woman” by billy joel… and have it all be fluff… and basically it would be severus’s pov and it would be him describing how much his wife means to him despite her “flaws” . and i've taken a bit of a twist with it but i feel it vibes with it. im going with vibes, slay. anyways i won't keep you for long so enjoy reading or whatever
