Smallbranch was one of the chosen. She was one of the most reluctant to go, remembering strongly all of the nursery tales that her mother had told her about the dark forest and their betrayal, she naturally didn’t want to trust Iris. Despite this, when she told Cinderstar of Thunderclan about the dream, they insisted that she should meet up with the other chosen warriors in the Four Clans.

When she got to The Valley, Smallbranch became a highly valued member of the team, helping keep the fresh kill pile stocked 24/7, and teaching the teammates who didn’t know how to hunt in woodland the best way about it. Being rather small in stature was a great help at first, before the clan created hunting trails, as the woodland was rather wild and overgrown. Being able to just go under brambles was a heck of a lot easier than finding a different path around.

Much to her joy dismay, she found Iris in her dreams a lot. Sometimes in order to give a message that the leader or medicine cat, or sometimes to check on how she’s doing. Smallbranch is told that Iris does this with all of the chosen, just to hide her true reasons. After a while, she opens up to Iris a bit more and vice versa, and she finds herself growing a bit of a crush on our dearly departed.
