You ever just sit there thinking about Doctor Who/Torchwood and realise that they implied not one but three of their characters chose to hide a gun... in there? I must admit I missed it the first time round when I was watching Doctor Who at a young age, my mind wasn’t thinking about where Captain Jack Harkness pulled his compact laser delux out from. I was too busy cheering that he exploded those robto’s heads and escaped unharmed. But then it cropped up again with John Hart in Torchwood, another gun one of their characters thought “hey, I’ll just hide it here”. But y’know, fine. They’re 51st century kinda guys, maybe thats somthing that just happens in the future for some reason. But then, but then they had to go imply that Ianto Jones did it as well in an audio drama, years after the show aired in the first place. Just... why? Did Jack tell him about it, prompting Ianto to think it was a good idea and try it out? Did Ianto come up with it all by himself? I guess I’m asking if the average person on the streets first idea of where to hide a gun on your person is to hide it there. I don’t have a probelm with it, fair play to them, but three people on three differnt occasions is a bit excessive. I might be wrong but I don’t think I’ve ever come across another form of media that had a character do this. I guess it’s just one of those things, it makes me wonder though if five or ten years down the line another character will pop up and pull out a gun, like a call back. One can only hope I suppose.
