Risk
Randomly wanted to write spark bonding and mechpreg in the most pg 13 way imaginable lol.
Here it's the idea that sparkbonding is super risky and might cause one spark or the other to explode if you're not careful, both parties are exposed to an overwhelming rush of emotions from one another. The spark is finally lit and either bot (or even both sometimes) will carry the newspark in their chamber for over a decade (in earth years) until the spark is fully developed and ready to enter its protoform.
This method of reproducing isn't preferred as it's far too risky, strenuous and inefficient, it requires so much emotional vulnerability and it's a process most can't psychologically handle.
(Sorry if a lot of this is technobabble, I'm not good at explaining this stuff.)
