i remember goose girl. in fact i just remembered that the series is nowhere in my room and it turns out i lent them to my sister and forgot about it and so they're in boston and at this point I think I'll just give them to her and order new ones. anyway i just got excited by somebody else knowing that book.
It's actually a book my sibling read growing up! I can't recall if I did read it or not myself, but we've had some convos about how it's a prime example of the 2000s cover trend of photoshopped-girl-in-a-period-dress replacing cool cover art.
my alarm went off this morning after another terrible night's sleep and as far as i was aware i was awake, but my bedroom has been shifted to be located on what is currently a specific square of grass at my house that has a patio on one side, a big willow tree on another side, and a building on a third side (i can only assume the 'correct' 'grass on the fourth side' was present but that was 'behind my head' in relation to the headboard of my bed in my 'bedroom'), and i kept looking around me and seeing a sort of merged reality of what i should actually be seeing if i turned over in bed and what i was now seeing in this new reality where the two spots in space had been merged and my new bedroom was, like my vision was glitching between two video game locations. I can't remember really being alarmed, more like 'okay guess this might as well happen'.
