During sleep is when our bodies regenerate. Good, deep sleep will improve concentration, productivity, physical performance, metabolism, mood, immune function and one’s mental/emotional state. Good, long sleep is one of the pillars of great health. Schedule: the summer is full of lax schedules. It’s time to get back into a rhythm and prepare for a busy scholastic year ahead. Start today! Set your alarm clocks for a time where you can prepare the family for early morning, breakfast, making lunches and heading out the door earlier than you have been all summer. Trial run! Limit screen time: a sedentary lifestyle can lead to many health concerns both mental/emotional as well as physical. Let’s get back to basics and increase family time and have some good ‘ol FUN! Screen time has a place in our lives but it doesn’t have to be a priority. Being bored can be a good thing; it inspires creativity.
