They feel better from drinking cold drinks. They feel worse from exertion and from getting heated. There is a rawness in the throat and it tickles when getting into bed causing cough. There’s a feeling of a crumb in the throat and causes one to cough. The cough comes on in paroxysms that is accompanied by retching, vomiting or choking. When there is vomiting from such a cough, it is clear, copious and ropy. Since there is copious ropy mucus, it clogs the ears and one’s hearing may become impaired.
