"Slatefur is a sleek gray tom."
Your post about Bramble and Squirrel and her flinching is sooooo good bc of the layers.
Bramble, despite never wanting to be like Tigerstar, is obsessed with his father. I like to think it's because he has a victim complex that was fed into by a lot of cats ( unknowingly fed into ), but being a victim of Tigerstar himself though being his son and looking like him has made " being Tigerstar's son and looking like him " his cope for anything. Got something bad to say about Bramblestar? Clearly your still comparing him to Tigerstar! Try to talk to him about his clearly evil half brother? IM NOT LIKE TIGERSTAR, I CANT BELIEVE YOU!
I want so badly for an artist rendition of Bramble's face when Squirrelflight says what she says in your post, that no Bramblestar, people don't flinch away from brown tabbies or you because of Tigerstar, they do it because their flinching away from you because of you. Tigerstar is gone, there aren't many cats alive who remember Tigerstar or who have even seen him.
The only brown tabby cats still fear is you Bramblestar, and half of those cats are cats you claim to love.
I used my grubby artist hands to bring it to life because actually this is important to me. Not one of these other cats in this comic was alive when Tigerstar the first was alive, just Bramblestar himself.
TBC shadowclan cats. i hate snowbird and her massive family
Slatefur! He is the fourth Pinenose Spikefur child, sibling to Puddleshine, Birchbark, and Lioneye. He is the most background character of the four, at least during the beginning of the Vision of Shadows arc. Once the Kin take over Shadowclan he dissapears, and it's later revealed he left with Cloverfoot to meet Berryheart and Sparrowtail away from the clans. This is in Tigerheart's Shadow, where his name was replaced erroneously with Rippletail, but all other details remain, he is introduced as the kit of Pinenose and Spikefur and not as Berryheart or Cloverfoot's brother. On the patrol home he has a good rapport with Sparrowtail and wonders about Spire and his visionary abilities, until the city cat sacrifices his life for Pouncekit. When Tigerheart saves Berryheart's kit from an owl he gets carried away by the bird only to fall and sustain internal injuries, Slatefur and Sparrowtail carry the tom back to Shadowclan territory, and then to the moonpool at Puddleshine's direction. He is among the cats who witness their clanmates' resurrection and welcome Tigerstar with his new name.
Beyond that he is kind of a patrol guy. Based on Tigerheart's Shadow it seemed like they were maybe going to put Slatefur and Cloverfoot together as mates, but then by the Starless clan arc he is instead confirmed to be with Cinnamontail. It's a cute idea to think that while returning to Shadowclan he got to know the she cat and when they got back he helped her get to know Shadowclan but that's just not on the page.

StrikeClan - Moon 61

The luckiest cat in the world.
The full moon hung in the sky, casting a blue glow on the surrounding territory. A light, refreshing chill was in the air. Ashheart barely stirred as he felt his mate Stonedusk press up against his shoulder. His orange eyes were on Blazestar, waiting for the signal. The proud ginger leader spent a moment scanning the gathering hollow, before she waived her tail and they cascaded down into the hollow.
"Stonedusk!" A voice called out cheerfully. Ashheart glanced down at his mate, seeing her eyes light up.
"Sky! Ripple!" She greeted as the two RiftClan cats approached. "How's prey running in RiftClan?" She blinked warmly.
"Oh just great!" Sky gushed, before she paused, blinking up at Ashheart.
"Who's this?" She tipped her head.
"Oh, you've never met my husband, Ashheart?" Stonedusk trilled. Ashheart felt that familiar tightness in his chest at the term husband. Before, it had been warm and inviting. Now, it was more akin to a freezing leafbare cold. Swallowing, Ashheart opted to give a solemn nod. Stonedusk squinted up at him, before Ripple chimed in.
"Do you have any kits?" The cream molly asked eagerly. Stonedusk purred sadly.
"One. She's not here this evening. Her name is Willowdapple. We...we lost our son during his apprentice ceremony." Stonedusk murmered.
"Oh...i'm so sorry." Ripple frowned.
"No, no, it's alright. It's been almost half a year now. Never truly goes away, I suppose."
"Well...I was thinking about starting a family and was hoping for some advice, if you don't mind." Ripple blinked sadly. Stonedusk straightened up, and the two mollies padded away. Ashheart gave a polite nod to Sky before heading in the opposite direction.
"What's going on with you?" Shadethroat murmured, sliding up to him. Ashheart shrugged.
"Oh, come on. You think I don't know when something is bothering my brother?" She nudged his shoulder. "You usually can't wait to chat like a sparrow, and here you are, not saying a word." That cold feeling settled in his chest once more.
"I don't think it's a topic for a gathering." He murmured, pulling away. Shadethroat clicked her tongue, placing her paw on his.
"Come on...talk to me."
Ashheart's ears went back. His pelt felt hot but his bones were cold. A lump travelled up from his chest into his throat. Great StarClan, was this how Stonedusk had felt? He inhaled shakily, glancing down at his sister, who flicked an ear in response.
"What if..." He hesitated.
"What if...?" Shadethroat leaned in.
"What if I was...I was your sister, instead?" He whispered shakily. Shadethroat chuffed.
"Was that all, you big bloke?" She purred. Ashheart felt embarrassed.
"H-hey don't laugh!" Ashheart protested, puffing out her cheeks in defiance.
"So, Stonedusk's bug finally got you, huh?" Shadethroat's eyes twinkled. "Whether you're my brother or my sister, i'll always love you, you know that, right?"
"I know." Ashheart rested her chin on her head.
"Plus, Slatefur's head is bigger than his body since he was made deputy. I swear, I didn't think his ego could get any bigger! Wait 'till he hears there's no more best son competition!" Shadethroat laughed.
Ashheart responded with a laugh of her own. The chill that had settled in her bones slowly melted away. No matter what happened, she knew her family would be by her side until it was her time to join their ancestors, and she wouldn't have it any other way.
