Make paned sleeves from scratch with no pattern, obviously! And embroider all of the hems. Duh. Oh, and we're using velvet. The WORST fabric, second only to Stretch Velvet.

I wasn't originally available to go with my friends this weekend when all of a sudden my Sunday cleared up, and the slow leisurely "la la la, sewing with my friends :)" attitude I've had towards this year's costume is now mad max pedal to the metal GO GO GO

By eight tonight I only had the base rectangle-with-circular-head-hole for my tunic cut out and hemmed. It's now 3 am and I have made and embroidered two full slashed sleeves.

Still don't know what im gonna use for pants! Probably some funky tights because this is A) black velvet in the middle of July and 2) the whole gang is 60s/70s revival inspired, and those bitches had MAD tights game.
