[ Full list @reveriepage ] Quarantined; It is wise to take the time now to reevaluate the way we have been living as individuals and pivot toward more sustainable practices in everyday life. USE THAT GREENTHUMB There are so many things you can grow at home. Nurturing plants and watching them grow is a process and a journey. Learning to grow life takes discipline. It also is a great way to understand how precious soil health and freshwater are in the ecosystem. BECOME A HOME CLASS CHEF Vegan Recipes, sure! Steak tartar, even better. You grow your own garnish so it’s lit. Get recipes from anywhere; a book, magazine, YouTube, or blog, and get to work on some healthier eats. FIX YOUR STUFF I’m sure you want to get that old film camera fixed. @Ifixit have guides on how to repair clothing and other fashion accessories including frames for glasses. The thing that you may have let slip to the bottom of your draw since it was out of commission. You don’t have to be a fashion designer to take the liberty of altering your clothes to your liking. BECOME AN EXPERT Environmental documentaries are a great way to celebrate Earth Day. LEARN TO RECYCLE Honestly, we don’t know how to recycle. Only 1 in 4 Americans actually recycle their waste and that is nothing to brag about. This would be a great time to set up some sort of recycling system in your home or apartment that can be easy for everyone else to understand. Often cross-contamination of plastic at recycling facilities happen in the trash. PUT SOME RESPECT ON EARTH’S NAME Earth Day should be about just that, respect. Every move you make should be a conscious one, not just for one day but for life. I think for next we could be situated in a better area such as a art room or open space since paint and pastels in a computer room do not go well. I also believe if by ourselves, we ran through how we were going to teach the rest of the group we could have gone ahead with no hesitation.
