Ha. Haha.
JuniorMint22 asks: "If people had YouTube in 1912, what do you think they'd be posting videos of?" Deadaxis: "Will it churn?" MonsterAteThePilot: "Court me, Maybe parodies." BeefBeaver: "Probably cats."

Livehoods (or why Foursquare check-ins are actually valuable)
I'm glad to see valuable and actionable data developing from Foursquare check-ins. While I don't think their interface allows particularly easy discovery, I think the concept is great. I look forward to more developments like this in the future.

I think this is great. A week or two before my trip to Turkey last summer I stumbled upon a number of 70's-era travel guides serendipitously left on a neighbor's stoop. Comparing the first-generation Lonely Planet guide for Turkey to the more recent edition I purchased provided great perspective on how much the country has modernized and grown economically since the first was written.
Doug Mack has done what I really should've: followed that vintage guide to potential ruin.

Human bird wings? Yes.
It must be spring.
How Your Cat Is Making You Crazy: If ever there was a reason to own a cat, The Atlantic's recent article on the T. gondii protozoan and its human brain altering effects files it neatly away.
I also, apparently, shouldn't eat raw land-grazing animal meat ... damn.

Sam and I are going to see Andrew Bird and Patrick Watson in May. I'm glad to hear that Mr. Watson has a new album out this spring too.
