Highlight from the sketching process of the Myths & Folktales & Fairy Tales Podcast cover. I’ll share a couple of highlight videos while I finish the commentary of the whole painting process!

Process video for the recent photo study I did! 🐈⬛✨
KHDR upperclassmen sketches continue! Now we're onto Hoder!
I have to say I'm still not quite happy with it, but I'll take the lessons from this sketching session to the next time I sketch her and do it better. Trying to figure out the exact layering of her clothing is what got me all agitated - plus her proportions kept getting away form me. Still, sketch is a sketch!
Close-ups were such a relief after the full body - though I feel I went a bit too far and started coloring the lineart and adding shade to her hair - had to stop myself from going further. Reminding myself not to get too invested in it.
Looks like a cinnamon roll, but will kill you! (wonder where Baldr got it >_>)
For more in-depth look into the process of these sketches I’ll be posting a video on my YT channel on Sunday the 27th so do come and check it out!
Still sketching
I’m not exactly sure how Tumblr works, but hopefully this will help someone ☺️

Unfinished Abyss Watchers - I hope SOMEDAY I’ll actually finish it.
But I thought it was interesting to post a little of how the drawing kinda develops itself really. First image on colours is my “refined colour ref sketch” - basically, what I’ll use to work on the final lineart and the colour palette to paint it later.
Then you have the prior sketches below, before I got to the final sketc. And I gotta say: when you look at that first HORIBBLE SKETCH you NEVER think something good will come out of it.
I mean, look at that project of an Abyss Watcher. Look at its lil’ nose and hat. It’s RIDICULOUS.
But then, the final sketch looks quite decent. So if your started point doesn’t look badass or good looking, give it time. It’s still trying to find itself xD
(and that’s how a little sketching process post becomes an artist advice post)
A bit of sketching process for one of my Inktober drawings 😄 as you can see, I was playing with the character design too, since this was a character I was drawing for the first time~
Here’s the final result as well! Have a good day!
