Fusiontober Day 1: Kunzite

Fusion of Spinel and Pink Pearl

What do Spinel and her pink lady have in common? There’s the bright and playful side of them, as well as the litteral and figurative scars that they carry with them.

I was inspired by kunzite gemstones dichroic proprieties, aka their tendency to switch color depending on which angle we’re looking from. That’s why I decided to split her face in two, both sides representing an important part of Spinearl’s relationship.

A bit of sketching process for one of my Inktober drawings 😄 as you can see, I was playing with the character design too, since this was a character I was drawing for the first time~

No need to google « Iolite », I’m giving you a definition right now :v

Iolite: (syn) se><y bad4ss. Unproductive mess. A procrastinator who uses a lot of sarcasm.

She gives Peridot nosebleeds. She gives Pearl headhaches. She gives Steven Wasabi Chocolate (is that a thing?).

Her three legs allows her to stand up while kicking butts (even if most of the time, she’s not standing, just lying on the floor or something)

Fusiontober Day 5 : Bowenite(s)

Fusion of Pearl and Peridot (Crystal Gems on the left, and my OCs on the right)

As you can guess, they’re dynamic, cocky mega-nerds... if they were humans, CG Bowenite would probably be a mobile software developer’s PDG, and my Bowenite OC would be a filmmaker I guess 🤔

Yep, my Peridot OC is the only one who owns a Pearl on Homeworld, as a special gift from Blue... (Ok, that was a « criminal » Pearl, but still) Missed that one, huh, P-dot? 😏

You thought Steg signing with Opal was sick? Well, you’re yet to see Steg and Tanzanite rocking together 😎

Like Sugilite, she doesn’t like to unfuse, but y’know there’s still some jugement in there (it’s pretty subtle but it’s there :,)
