#skeleton queen

Uploading the first attack I did for @corvid-gae on artfight of his character "the Black Queen"! :) I'll be slowly uploading my attacks I've done, and plan to keep making as many as I feasibly can!

I am THRILLED with how my skeleton crown came out!! This piece is inspired by the last season of The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and is the start to my Sabrina cosplay of her coronation outfit. It's important to me that each of my pieces take on different lives, which is why I created this gold skeleton demon for Halloween. 💀

Stay tuned for a video on how this was made as well as a makeup tutorial for the above look! For those interested, I used a couple different materials starting with plastic skeleton fingers I cut off of Halloween decorations, created a wire+foam base, attached the fingers with some hot glue and then covered the fingers and base with air dry clay. Final touches were spray painting a metallic gold followed by antiquing with brown wax paint in the cracks and lightly over the whole crown.

secondary thought: “queen” is just an outdated title and no one cares what gender the skeleton queen is so it’s actually a really rough and tumble skeleton guy who just wears “queenly clothes for kicks”

current thought: monsters live in the world among humans but there’s a lot of prejudice against them, especially as its a recent change within the last twenty years and a lot of monsters are still recovering from the lives they lived before joining the human realm cause some of those places were nasty as all get out and it just so happens to follow a couple of skeletons, one of which holds the title of queen, but that’s extremely superficial at this point and also only counted within his honeycomb segment of the monster world and he doesnt have to adjust to being queen per say but he does have to adjust to his current room mate who’s kind of a slob and totally rude and is going to start looking for a job or so help him, the skeleton queen will start breaking ribs, but the roommate actually isnt working because he has some issues of his own to work through and their lives are just one of the many groups of monsters that we attempting to fit in, but each tale has a skeleton protag to fit with the “skeleton queen” theme going on
