I'm posting this because I couldn't find a review that actually compared the two:
Mehron's CW is a lot creamier, takes less work to spread.
Ben Nye requires warming up. It's a thicker and paste like but the coverage is slightly more opaque
They both seem to set well with the Mehron colourset powder in neutral. Ben Nye has their own powder but I bought this with CW Lite which wasn't up to par.
Nitpicky part: the Mehron side wore down a bit quicker, patches of skin seem to fade more and flake with movement. Ben Nye's was slightly more resistant
Mehron's CW doesn't have a strong smell - very neutral actually. Both are perfum free but BN's CW has a slight sheep scent. I believe both products have lanolin but the smell was definitely present in Ben Nye's version.
Both benefit from patting rather than smearing to ensure even coverage that won't crack or flake off later on. From what I've gathered, you're getting the perfect white coverage with packing on the face powder rather than the CW cream but I've only used it once. Some people paint rather than follow the instructions on both versions.
Overall, I prefer Ben Nye by a slight margin but if you end up with only Mehron I think you'd be fine. Just powder that shit then dust off the excess. Alternatively, both brands have a light version and the Mehron's one is vegan but the coverage isn't as opaque I find it doesn't hold well. I didn't bother trying the Ben Nye one. It looks fine in photos captured by my phone though. Lol I took many selfies with that on even though it looked like shit up close.
In terms of pricing, I found the 7 oz from Mehron is like 10 bucks less than the Ben Nye 2.25 oz but prices may vary where you buy these products. I got these from amazon but it may be cheaper elsewhere.
This lady does a great job at explaining how to use CW and I believe she briefly mentioned in the second video that Mehron didn't perform as well as Ben Nye's. I wished I watched her videos before buying anything.
Hey guys this is how to apply Ben nye clown white properly! I hope you guys did enjoy. Please don't forget to thumb up this video and don't
Here I show you guys how to do Harley Quinn make up but with a twist. I have my friend in my fairy sister charity over here so I can do the
I didn't want to buy greasepaint but I did. The other white base foundation I had was water activated... It comes off with sweat. I need something sturdier. π€£
My Mehron face paint got here, and I had to immediately try it out. I'm not gonna lie, I feel kinda nice wearing it. π It was funny seeing my teeth look so yellow in contrast to the white. Like am I entering my Joker era? π€£ This is my first time trying corpse makeup, so I wasn't really serious about it. Idk doing makeup is usually so relaxing for me. The foundation smells a little like play-doh to me, lol. Should I try some?
Products used: Mehron barrier spray, followed by white Mehron Paradise AQ. I used the shade Legacy from Live Tinted on my eyes. On my lips, I used the shade Caviar from MAC.
