Did you catch our IG Live with @getplume yesterday? It was hosted by yours truly with guest the powerhouse Trans activist @anjalirimi didi with @parivarbayarea the prolific Trans activist @ferozasyedatl didi and the amazing @mr.thaliwallah with @zameenco we came together to launch the very first "Breaking Bread With Trans Leaders" event. The event for those who didn't attend ( you can catch it on @getplume IG and Facebook along with @parivarbayarea IG and Facebook) was an intimate conversation with Trans Leaders and allies on what's happening in India (they are heavily impacted right now by the virus and a cyclone just hit and devastated three of the states that have been the hardest hit by everything prior), what's going on with Trans folks on India and how their access to resources are impacted at this time and we spoke about ways in which we can support. Parivar created SITAL - Save All Trans Indian All India Lives where there is a major fundraising effort to provide resources for our Trans community. Local community in India are making sure to get food and resources directly to the hijra community. During our IG live we raised over 1K but I know we can raise more!
