Images Kerry Simmons The Spy managed to grab a very late night preview screening for "Break my Fall" at the Rio Cinema courtesy of Simon Savory at Peccadillo Pictures. The story is that of four young gay people (two gay men and two lesbians) living in Dalston, its a great indie film and destined for cult status, with the two females leads Kat Redstone and Sophie Anderson proving to be outstanding. It certainly helps that the action takes place in and around Kingsland Road, Rough Trade East and Dino's Cafe in Whitechapel(and old hangout of Simon and I, during our time at Disorder magazine.) I strongly suggest you check out Kanchi Wichmann's movie when it comes out later next year! The screening was followed by a trip up the road to Dalston Superstore, by the cast and crew as well as team Peccadillo - Hong, Simon, and Jason aka Hello Mozart. After several drinks we all got into various taxis and headed down to a warehouse party, well party in a disused pub right by Hackney Wick station. It was fun for about an hour, when the happy hardcore/gabba music began to grate somewhat, Simon and I headed to the bar where he was accosted by a man in wheelchair who thought he was a girl, then proceeded to grab Savory's hand and place it on his urine covered crotch. Ive never seen Simon run away so quickly, think Spinerette and I should start training him up for the 2012 Olympics.

It seems there has been a non-stop barrage of fashion events the past week, with Aussie label Nobody denim's 'Nobody Wa S Thirsty' party taking place at Punk last night - it's ok tho, I'm only banned from Black Baboon Balloon not the actual club! P.S. was hanging with my wonderful flatmate Eddie Blagborough, and hot new model about town Kate Auchterlonie. We got totally wasted on coconut based drinks, bearing in mind the event was sponsored by Hawaiian Tropic I wouldn't be suprised if a shot or two of after-sun was being added the mix mmmmm soothing, another strange sponser was Alibi, an energy drink which stops hangovers; no really I didn't get one but it unfortuntly didn't stop me making snow angels at 4am ... After getting caught in a blizzard on Greek Street, we decamped to the Green Carnation to meet up with some of the Peccadillo Pictures gang and Michael Urie star of Ugly Betty. Without realising it we stumbled into a real gem of a clubnight, run by Molly Parkin and her family, namely - The Parkin Lot - geddit?! Molly was a wonderful host, as for the dj it was more shambollic than Sandra Morris after one two many lemonades with her aunty. It did have its own charm and credit to the dj he played some cracking tunes, bit of Erasure, Betty Boo, Stacey Q and Pet Shop Boys - it was like a night at Altered Beast. Spotted: Calvin Harris at Punk, although he was djing, does that count? Nope probably not. Overheard: "He's at the Gielgud theatre, as in John, from Star Wars" ... er wasn't it Alec Guinness

Another Horror related post this time about friend of P.S.'s Simon Savory, who following up his interpretation of House of Usher with a version of The Pit and the Pendulum, directed by David DeCoteau. One of the characters is infact named after a certain Gemma Winter(!) and is to be played by TV Presenter turned Actress Amy Paffrath(above.) Again stayed tuned for more info on the project!
