Anoraakというフレンチ・エレクトロのDJが、5月のEDC Japanで来日する。
恥ずかしながら、今回初めて、彼の名前と音を知ったのだが、
これは日本人好みではないだろうか？？
ピッチフォークUKでは「Phoenix meets Daft Punk」のような表現をされたこともあるようだが、曲によっては確かにPhoenixっぽい。
ただ、どこかレトロな音だな〜と思っていたら、このAnoraakは、80′sフレンチエレクトロ・アクト集団”VALERIE”のメインアクト、ということ。（そんなグループがいたことすら知らなかったが・・・）
どこかダークで、無機質な中にも、懐かしさを感じる。
夕暮れの高速道路をドライブしているBGMに、いいかもしれない。
