The season 3 rewatch continues (though I might start over from the beginning because I'm insane?) and last night was "Enemies Foreign and Domestic" AKA the introduction of CJ's stalker arc and Secret Service protection, and I'm playing Add Andy to the Episode, watch it Improve, and oh, she'd be so good in this one? Starting out with CJ's combination of being righteously angry and so damn tired about the schoolgirls dying in Saudi Arabia. CJ says she might have taken it too far at the briefing, but I feel like Andy might feel she didn't go far enough. I know Andy's feelings on the Middle East are complicated, but I feel like she can go yell at Toby for a xenophobic speech and feel entirely helpless/mad/exasperated that religious laws prevented these children from getting help.

Then there's Toby and the Russian journalist, who he seems oddly flirty with? Now, I like reading this as he's still kind of on a giddy high from meeting Tabatha. He says several times that he's having an odd day/in an odd mood. Could it be Toby got some last night? If so, you know Andy would have Opinions. (And even if he didn't, the fact that not having actual Work to do makes Toby oddly social, even with strangers, is hilarious to me). There's the odd discrepancy of his age, he calls himself 44, which you can either read as him lying about his age to seem younger or (much more likely) the writing team/Sorkin not remembering their own characters' ages because it does contradict the birthday given in the following season. But either way its funny.

i don’t think i’ve been felt more hurt or betrayed by a character’s death since since natasha died in endgame. that episode HURT.
