I have been so nervous about my sweet boy all day, he’s been protesting my mom leaving him for vacation with a small hunger strike and hasn’t eaten more than like half his food at any point since Thursday night

But he was still having water and peeing like normal so I just tried to give him more food like treats and stuff.

Then this morning, he only drank water. A ton of water, but just water. Weird, but ok.

Then this afternoon he did not want to get outside to pee. At all. Or anything. And just kinda looked dizzy and laid down panting. And didn’t want any water or anything

I was able to get some water into him and then some small treats, and then had to leave to drive my sister to the airport. Cuz of course.

And I was so nervous what I would come back to but he came to meet me at the door and I almost cried in relief. And he went out and peed for me and I was able to get some chicken in him thank goodness

He’s still moving real slow but I hope it’s just he was too stubborn and it made him sick and that he’s on the upswing now

Turns out it's a benign polyp, and it may be possible to treat it without surgery. That part's still up in the air. (And apparently cat bladders are weird? I'm not really clear on that part but it wouldn't surprise me.) She has been eating better lately, and showing signs of having more energy. Didn't want to get my hopes up about that too much, but yay, her Bitey MacBiteface days aren't over yet.
