sometimes i worry that i haven't existed long enough in this world to have anything profound to say about it in my writing. but maybe it's enough to say something profound about one little corner of it.

What really ticks me off when talking about ai is when people are like "it's unavoidable" or "you'll have to learn to use it someday" or "its going to be part of the future" like no it's plenty avoidable actually if you have a spine stronger than a dandelion. You simply say "no" and continue to use your own goddamn brain.

I'm gonna lose tumblr points for saying this, but sometimes I use it like a search feature when Google is being damn near unusable. When I use Claude, I take whatever it says with a grain of salt and research everything myself using its keywords and mentioned sources as a launchpad (same way I used Wikipedia in college without breaking the rules). However, generative AI creativity (art, writing, music,...) can go die in a fire along with that creepy ass sycophancy AI loves to do.
