A year ago today, I lost someone very special to me. Perhaps very special to all of us. Not a day has gone by that he isn’t in my thoughts. Although sometimes sad, I am glad he still lives inside of me. Although Oreo may no longer be on this earth, he will always remain in my heart. Love you forever my fluffy boy. 💚
My girl is gone ...
Jimmy's kidneys shut down. He was doing very badly and was in a lot of pain. There was only one merciful choice. This morning I gave him a taste of real chocolate while the vet prepared the meds to ease him to sleep, and I held him close through his final moments. He's not in pain anymore. He'll never hurt again.
Thank you for 13 wonderful, funny, cuddly years of love, my little Jimmy bean. You were so full of love and you were so, so loved. I miss you so much already.

Bunny kisses from Sterling and Willow. I’m so so sorry to hear about Spindle. I know just how hard it can be to lose a pet like that. I lost my guinea pig Cookie winter of 2022, and I’ve never been the same since. The grief creeps up on you over the most mundane things. Here’s some of my wunkiest Sterlings, I hope they give you a smile.
Bonus willows as well
They are both beautiful im shedding tears for them too
We are so lucky to have such beautiful friends to love and to miss💔💔

This is Sophie. She tolerated other humans and adored me.I am putting her picture out there because others should know this beautiful creature once existed. I’m okay and not asking for condolences. I just want everyone to gaze upon and appreciate this lovely girl.
Leo is popcorning free across the rainbow bridge with all of his piggie friends 🌈✨
Thank you to everyone who has been messaging and asking about and sending good vibes for him recently. Your kind words mean everything to us, and it has been truly touching to know how many of you love this lil chicken as we do.
We made the devastating decision to help him over the bridge. His health has been declining rapidly over the past few months, and he reached the point that he no longer had decent quality of life.
Leo was our OG (Original Gaynea). He put everything for us into motion - eight and a half years ago - starting our personal piggie herd, our social media platforms, and inspiring us to foster and board. In a sense, we owe this entire guinea pig domain to him.
Leo was a lil shit. He was full of mischief and shenanigans as a young boy, and nothing but authoritative and sassy as a grown pig. He LOVED the lady pigs, and the ladies sure loved him. He would always be strutting and rumbling to our foster girlies through the cage grids. We named him our Foster Ambassador; always eager to meet (and impress) new piggies staying with us.
Leo remained sassy and stubborn right until the end. We are SO thankful and joyful to have known and cared for and loved him for these past 8.5 years.
He outlived his biological brother Lynx, his soulmate Lyra, and his two grid-mate friends Rigel and Vega. Our herd and our hearts will never be the same without him, but we are so grateful for the huge impact that his little life made - not only in our lives but to our guinea pig community. ❤️
