Monday is coming... real talk time: There are almost 10 years in between those two photos. I was in my 20’s in the bottom picture and I look like an old weathered saddle bag. What happened? I was excelling in a very large financial firm, had all the benefits, brand new car and lived in a great area in a growing community. But look. A picture does tell a thousand words. Fast forward 10 years. I own a successful business with my wife, I’m in the best shape I’ve been in since the Army, I control my benefits, I choose not to buy a new car when I could, I live on the edge of civilization and I am freaking phenomenally happy. That. That is the difference. Happiness and not pressuring yourself into a box you don’t fit in, forcing you to put yourself second and feeding your insecurities with material possessions and “status”. Seriously.
