#strict lady

So this is an excerpt from the Disciplinary Couples Club blog that I shared with Wifey recently. She seemed somewhat receptive, and somewhat like of course she already knew that. She even brought it up at the most inconvenient moment for me… while she was tanning my hide.

I sent it, and a few other thoughts, because it peaked my interest, but upon reflection I found that I agree completely. Most of what we do in our DD might be considered authentic “Maternal Authority.” Wifey is the Mama of the house, and she generally has no problem using that authority. I’ve found that the firmer, stricter, and “because I said so” she is, the easier it is for me to walk the line and thrive.

As for the inevitable “consequences,” I reluctantly agree with that too. When I am… ahem… receiving my comeuppance, the very last thing I want is for it to be harder and worse. But the above commenter has a solid argument. The discipline spankings I received as a boy were real tearjerkers, and I’d be kicking, squalling, and most often bawling before it was over. To scale that up for a full-size athletic adult man, I am apprehensive at best. But I want it to be serious, authentic, maternal, and most important effective. So if I need to be spanked much harder to the point of overwhelmed to get that equivalent experience…

I’ll regret this at some point. But yes, I agree.
