“Good morning, Sayori!”, Monika cheerfully greeted to her. “O-Oh, hi Monika...”, Sayori stuttered to Monika. She felt her face warm up and tried to hide it. “What’s the problem, Sayori?”, Monika asked, examining Sayori’s face. “N-Nothing!”, Sayori blurted out, eventually swallowing the toast that was in her mouth. “Your face is very warm. Are you sick?”, Monika said, feeling Sayori’s face and forehead. Sayori blushed even more. “N-No, I-I’m not...”, Sayori muttered. “So, I was wondering if you wanted to walk with me to school..?”, Monika shyly asked. “S-Sure!”, exclaimed Sayori. “O-Oh! That’s good then.”, Monika said, slightly blushing.

Sayori put her shoes on, got her bag, and adjusted her bow. Monika noticed Sayori’s tie needed some fixing. “Sayori, can I fix your tie for you?”, Monika asked. “Oh! Sure, thanks!”, Sayori answered. Monika un-tied Sayori’s tie, hands trembling as she fights the urge to remove Sayori’s jacket off (JESUS I’M SORRY!!!!!) and re ties Sayori’s tie into a proper tie. (How many times did I type tie in that sentence? LMAO) Both girls were blushing.

“So, shall we head to school?”, Monika asked. “Alright!”, Sayori beamed. The two girls exit Sayori’s house and began walking to school. Sayori couldn’t help but wonder how it feels like to hold Monika’s hand. “Maybe it’s soft and elegant...”, she pondered to herself. She was trying to fight the urge of holding Monika’s hand when Monika gave her a curious stare. “What’s going on, Sayori? Your hand is supposedly trying to reach for mine.”, Monika noted. “U-Uh!! I-It’s-”, Sayori stammered. “If you want to hold my hand, I’m all for it.”, Monika smiled. Sayori gulped. Would this be the chance that she could finally hold that beautiful, elegant hand? “Do it, Sayori!!”, a voice screamed to her in her head. Sayori decided to take that chance. She took Monika’s hand and held it.

“Her hand is so soft...”, she thought to herself. Monika gave Sayori a sweet smile, which obviously made Sayori blush. They arrived at school, hand in hand. Everybody was staring at them, but Monika didn’t care or noticed at all. On the other hand, Sayori was getting sweaty and nervous. “Sayori, don’t worry about those people staring at us. They’re not worth our time.”, Monika said. “O-Okay..”, Sayori stuttered. They headed into the school, and yet got more stares. Sayori was trying so hard to ignore them, but it was overwhelming enough to make her let go of Monika’s hand and run away from her.

“Sayori!”, Monika called out.

“No, no, no, no!”, Sayori cried. She then went upstairs and hid in the janitor’s closet, crying. “Everybody probably thinks I’m a lesbian freak..”, Sayori thought to herself. “The lesbian freak who was holding hands with the popular girl...”, Sayori thought to herself. Just then, Sayori heard a knock coming from the outside. 

“Sayori?”, a familiar voice rung out from the outside. Sayori kept quiet. “Sayori, I know you’re in there. Please let me in.”, the voice said once again. Sayori held her breath in. “Oh well, I’m coming in.”, the voice said. The door knob jiggled and Sayori saw the familiar figure of Monika standing there.

“Sayori, what are you doing hiding in here?”, Monika questioned. Sayori said nothing. “Are you embarrassed because we were holding hands in public?”, said Monika. Sayori nodded. “Why? We were just holding hands, that’s all. Isn’t it perfectly normal for two girls to hold hands?”, Monika told Sayori. “I-I don’t really know...”, Sayori said, fiddling with her hair. Monika closed the door behind them and turned on the light bulb hanging over their heads (sorry for the hanging reference lmao). “M-Monika?”, Sayori stammered, furiously blushing. “Yes, Sayori?”, answered Monika. “D-Do you have a crush on m-me...?”, muttered a flushed Sayori. Monika only smiled.

“Yes.”

“H-Huh?”

“Yes I do Sayori. Hell, I love you.”, said Monika with absolute pride. “F-For real? B-Because...I love you too!!”, Sayori exclaimed. “I’ve always knew, my dear cinnamon bun.”, Monika warmly said, while stroking Sayori’s hair. Monika then pulled Sayori’s face close to her own, and then soon the two were kissing.

“Her lips...they’re so soft...”, Sayori thought to herself. After a few minutes, Monika pulled away. “I’ll never let go of you, my dear.”, Monika genuinely said. “If I lost you, a part of me will be broken away from my soul.” Monika yet again said. “I love you, Monika...”, Sayori whispered as she hugged Monika.

I will always love you.....
