I know your into pakistani dramas, i was wondering if you've seen Shayyad? it aired recently on geo tv. Its SUCH a good drama! A story of undying love. Only 21 episodes. it will make you fall in love with uzair jaswal because he does such great acting as the main character. Best part is drama is not dragged AT ALL. Its background music is great too. Sorry I cant stop raving about this drama lol, I watched it all in 4 days and throughly enjoyed it! I've been recommending it to all my friends lol

I did start Shayyad yesterday. I am currently on episode 4. Had heard great stuff about it plus itâs a Faiza Iftikhar script so it was always at the back of my mind as a show that Iâd check out someday. The 21 episodes in total literally made my heart sob in relief cuz whoooo makes such short dramas anymore?!
Honestly, the show has legit everything on point except the casting. I just canât get over how most of the actors are just so WRONG for these characters. And it saddens me cuz the aesthetics are SOOOOO on point. Itâs been a long time since Iâve watched a show which was shot in some real locations. I mean the way they have shown the real, living Lahore, as well as all the kachi sadaks of the village..itâs just so pleasing to look at. Plus, the show has some interesting editing choices which just pull you in. Itâs really really REALLY well-shot show. But ufffâŚI see Uzair and Sadia and them trying to act and my brain just nopes so hard. Uzair chalo I think might grow on me (Iâm not counting on that much) but Sadia?! Tauba astagfaaar the ladyâs âactingâ has me cringing so hard. Shayyadâs story seems to have everything Iâve been craving for; most importantly it is handled by a director who knows how to hit the right notes. BUT COULDNâT THEY HAVE TAKEN MORE COMPETENT ACTORS FOR THIS?! I canât get over the feeling of, âHayyee..if only these characters were played by someone else..â and trust me, thatâs not a nice feeling to have. Itâs not just Saad and Hani. Like the actress they have chosen for Salma! I shit you not but Saadâs mother said about Salma, âAtharwen mein lagi hai..barood ka dher!â and my mind spun so fast at that I legit had to pause the episode to take the information in. Allah ki shaan hai buss if she looks 18 from any angle. I know Noman Eijaz would nail his character but alkdsjaskjdh couldnât they have taken actors which share a proper chemistry with each other?! Chemistry is THE MOST VITAL aspect of a love story yaar!!
That being said..Iâll continue watching it purely for the aesthetics. But I doubt Iâd love it as you do. WHICH IS A SHAME CUZ EK TOH PROPER LOVE STORIES AAJ KAL KOI BANA NAHIN RAHA AND JO BANN RAHI HAI WOH INN NON-ACTORS PE WASTED HAIN!!
