It’s Monday! What Am I Reading? #44
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment, and er… add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye’s Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date. And here we are!
What Did I Read This Last Week?
Masques by Patricia Briggs, Narrated by Katherine Kellgren
Her first book. Magic, intrigue, and an intrepid heroine. Loved it!
Love Lies and Hocus Pocus: A Study in Mischief by Lydia Sherrer
Cute and fun! Good blend of cozy mystery and paranormal romance.
A Red Herring Without Mustard by Alan Bradley, Narrated by Jayne Entwistle
Precocious Flavia encounters a gypsy and murder right at Buckshaw. Good stuff as usual!
Courting Darkness by Robin LaFevers, Narrated by Angela Goethals and Suzy Jackson
Two storylines. One was superior to the other. First half of a duology with the end leaving off when things really got intense.
Death in the Stocks by Georgette Heyer
#1 Superintendent Hannaslyde
One of her first mysteries. Good setting and dialogue, but several annoying characters.
I Am Half-Sick of Shadows by Alan Bradley, Narrated by Jayne Entwistle
Christmas at Buckshaw means a film crew and murder. And, secrets. Flavia is determined to discover if Father Christmas is the real deal while bringing a murderer to heel all before the jolly elf arrives.
The Dark Days Club by Alison Goodman

Great blend of historical regency period coming of age romance and demon fighting.
My Favorite Cowboy by Donna Grant
Loved getting Caleb’s story as he and his his lady love vet both hunt down her enemy and fight their separate abandonment issues.
Forever My Hero by Sharon Sala
Heartwarming romance for a widow and a widower who survive a romance together.
