Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun
A little talked about stealth/tactics game that I am absolutely in love with. If you like either of those genres, please take the time to play it.
I’M LATE TO THIS AMAZING GAME..
but it was totally worth the $3.99. As someone who’s been using Steam for years, I can guarantee that I’m not the only one guilty of checking out sales even though I have a library full of un-played games... possibly 100+. Sounds bad I know.. but I’m not the ONLY one right?... RIGHT?? lol
Anyways, I saw this game on sale and although I’m a bit late, this game aged like fine wine. Sometimes, I like taking a break from the normal genre’s I play and check out genre’s I wouldn’t give a second glance. In the past, I’ve enjoyed games such as the Civilization Series, Advanced Wars on gameboy advance, and even the Risk board game so playing Shadow Tactics Blades of the Shogun felt very familiar yet different.
In many ways, I found the game difficult, however, I respected the freedom the game gave rather than a linear approach towards beating each level.

My Gaming Plan 2025
March:
Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous
Shadow Tactics: Aiko's Choice ✅
AC Shadows
I couldn't finish LeafGreen within a month, but that's okay. I'll play it at my own pace. But this is the month for a brand new game so I'm super excited now! 🫡
My Gaming Plan 2025
February:
LeafGreen nuzlocke
Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun ✅
Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 ✅
Biomutant ✅
Trying to finish ongoing games, one game at a time, but will add more as I go 🫡
Shadow Tactics: Aiko's Choice
Aiko's Choice was enjoyable. The plot was really just there to glue together the story, but the levels were enjoyable enough. The only thing that started to grate was the game sometimes not understanding what I wanted it to do, leading to some captures or deaths.
